Look how even West Texas is moving toward a green economy. Yup, each of those white things is a huge windmill.

  3. Thanks, guys! I took this earlier in December when I was flying from Midland to Dallas. They're everywhere out here. I'm getting so used to them out West that it's beginning to seem weird if we drive by a wide-open space that *doesn't* have a wind turbine.

  5. That is very cool.

    Actually I have found some of the large wind farms in California to be quite photogenic, such as the one near Palm Springs as well as the Altamont pass. They combine industry and nature.

  6. Ahhhhh, west Texas. Did you know on a Friday night, you can navigate an airplane across west Texas purely by the high school football stadiums. It's a fact.

  7. A wind farm...we have some here in Australia, but not that big that I have seen. Amazing photo! Your new blog layout is gorgeous - very red.
