We have one of these balls for our guinea pig and he just sits there. Did you have to train him to use it? I think Rufus needs the exercise. I'm so glad his little tooth is better!
We didn't have to train him to use it -- which surprises me b/c initially he was about 3 times smaller than he is now and I was afraid he wouldn't weigh enough to make it move.
Then again, I wonder if part of it is prairie dogs generally running around more than guinea pigs? Hoover's definitely aware that he's a prey animal. He likes the ball because it makes him feel protected. Outside of it, he runs, but directly under the couch.
How fast can he go?
ReplyDeleteDid he lose his snaggly tooth?
ReplyDeleteHe's pretty quick over tile -- very good at getting right under foot in the kitchen. Carpet slows him down a bit, though.
ReplyDeleteHe did lose his snaggly tooth, poor thing. In fact, the new tooth has already grown back to the same length as his other one.
